Arrampica was originally set up by Paolo Fubini in 2001 to provide technical advice for climbing walls & ropes courses. This is still what we do, but in addition we are also proud providers of Route Setting Development courses, as well as being approved providers of Mountain Training climbing wall qualifications and European Ropes Courses Association qualifications.

20 years ago Ben Humphris took his first steps in route setting at his local wall in the Peak District, Derbyshire.  Now a Level 3 qualified Rope Access Technician and Mountaineering Instructor, Ben Operates Nationally as a Senior Trainer for the ABC Route Setting Development Programme.  As a Tech IOSH holder Ben combines Health and Safety expertise and acts as a Technical advisor specialising in work at height for a number of climbing facilities in the UK.

Alex has been working in the climbing industry for over a decade. As the regional route setting manager for The Climbing Academy Southwest, He has been setting and training setters for 10 years. This experience means he has an in-depth knowledge of route setting for the commercial environment.

Pete has been training and assessing route setting for many years and co-chaired the RSA during its incorporation into the ABC. He is technical advisor to several walls and one of the main course providers for Mountain Training Scotland. Pete is an IRATA Level 3 holder and an avid climber, both indoors and out.
